Built for the people who make work better

OpScope was created for the CI leaders, consultants and operational teams who move organizations forward.

Our goal is simple: give people the insight, clarity, and confidence they need to make meaningful improvement happen.

Built on proven foundations

OpScope draws on a long technology lineage built by experts in continuous improvement, operations, and analytics — and backed by decades of experience from the team at Applied Computer Services. ACS has delivered advanced measurement and CI systems to more than 1,600 clients worldwide since 1986.

Lasting improvement requires a deep understanding of real work and the people who do it. That principle underpins every part of OpScope.

1980s

Japanese manufacturing principles Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing come to the fore.

ACS develops and markets its first generation time application and standard work package for manufacturing.

1990s

Manufacturing processes evolve and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) emerges.

ACS releases its second generation product – Business Pro – providing granular process analysis and accurate time data manufacturing processes.

2000s

Lean shifts from factory floors to entire enterprises, including supply chains and service industries.

ACS introduces Timer Pro, a video based continuous improvement toolkit for process measurement, line balancing, ergonomics, and standard work in manufacturing.

Late 2000s

The origins of OpScope emerges as ACS develops Random Moment Sampling (RMS), a web-based product to facilitate labor data collection and reporting for cost recovery by US States from the Federal Government.

2010s

Industry 4.0 technologies reshape improvement strategies.

ACS continues to enhance Timer Pro with product rewrites and constant continuous improvements based on client feedback. Timer Pro becomes the leading measurement and CI tool in the manufacturing software market.

2020s

AI and machine learning begins integrating directly into quality management, root cause analysis, defect detection, and time studies.

ACS integrates AI tools to Timer Pro, supporting engineers’ line balancing and analysis efforts as well as automating parts of the time study process to expedite and refine outcomes.

2025 to Today

Timer Pro clients express a need for cost effective measurement and user input from the staff actually performing their work to justify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

ACS engineers OpScope, a collaborative process intelligence platform designed specifically for continuous improvement teams who need defensible insight fast.

Our mission is to bring granular operational insight to organizations faster, helping transform process intelligence into positive change.

Our principles

These principles guide how we build, collaborate and help organizations improve.

Two squares as an icon

Honest insight

We show how work truly happens, not how it appears in a report. Clarity builds trust and sparks action.

Human-centred

Improvement only works when people are involved. Participation and feedback is collaborative, respectful, and transparent.

Rapid time to value

Leaders should not wait months for insight. We focus on speed, efficiency, and impact from day one.

Accessible by design

OpScope is built for real teams in remote or in-office environments. Easy to adopt, easy to trust, and easy to use.

What makes Opscope different

OpScope is not another time tracker or passive monitoring tool. We built it to give continuous improvement champions and their teams something more powerful: shared understanding.

By turning everyday activity into highly granular, reliable insight, OpScope goes beyond surface-level metrics. This depth of insight helps organizations focus on what truly matters, remove barriers to change, and create momentum that lasts.

Our approach

Every OpScope study is guided by principles that support consistent, credible and collaborative improvement.

  • Clarity: Granular insight uncovers the drivers of performance and room for improvement.
  • Credibility: Statistically sound studies that turn real work into evidence leaders can trust.
  • Progress: Clear next steps that help organizations act quickly and build measurable improvement.
  • Collaborative: Actively involving the people doing the work to create shared understanding and uncover insight.
